Publics help sought in hitandrun that left 1 injured

first_imgThe Vancouver Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver in a Monday evening hit-and-run crash that left one person injured.Officers with were called to the 11500 block of Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard at 6:12 p.m. Monday for a report of a crash.They found one of the two vehicles involved had fled the scene without the occupants identifying themselves, police said.The driver of the other vehicle, 32-year-old Vancouver resident Julie Marcotte, was injured when her Fiat was T-boned by the suspect vehicle, which turned left out of a parking lot and crashed into her vehicle, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.Marcotte was taken to an area hospital with neck pain and a headache, Kapp said. Marcotte had been treated and released by Tuesday afternoon, according to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.Thanks to tips, investigators found an image of what they think is the SUV that drove away: The police described the suspect vehicle as a mid-2000s model gray or green Ford Explorer, Vancouver police said, with a large, circular emblem or image on the vehicle’s rear driver side window.Investigators said that the vehicle would have moderate to heavy damage to the front bumper.Anyone with information on the suspected driver or the suspected vehicle involved is asked to call 911.last_img read more
