CAPPRY ROVERSCappry Rovers have a very important game against Donegal Town on Thursday evening, 7pm kick off. All support greatly welcome.CAPPRY YOUTHSU 18’s were beat 4-1 in the cup semi-final by Gweedore Utd with Stephen Carr getting our only goal. A disappointing way to end the season. We would like to thank all the lads for their commitment all season and wish everyone all the best for the future. Maurice & Kieran.CAPPRY ROVERS U16 Our Under 16’s played 2 champions league games since the last notes. First up was Gweedore Celtic.Gweedore started this this game well and pressed hard looking for the opening but the Cappry defence dealt well with the early pressure from the away side. Cappry took the lead in the 18th minute when Kyle O’Meara tapped home a Luke Gavigan shot. The home side could have double their lead in the 27th minute when Sean McBride went close from a tight angle. Cappry started the 2nd half well and forced the Gweedore keeper into a couple of good saves. In the 55th minute they made it 2-0 when Rory Mulligans cross found its way into the net. Cappry made it 3-0 in the 62nd minute when Daire McCafferty chipped the keeper from the corner of the box from an Oisin Gallen corner. Gweedore never gave up and got there reward in 72nd minute when Daniel McLaughlin found the top corner with a fine header. Cappry responded quickly and scored their 4th in the 75th minute when Sean McBride finished well following an Oisin Gallen free kick. Two team performances. Ref: Marty McGarigle.Next was an away trip to take on Swilly Rovers. They came home with a 1-1 draw with Sean McBride on the score sheet.Next up is another home game with Donegal Town, Tuesday 21st in Cappry Park with a 7.30pm Kick off. Come and cheer on the lads. CAPPRY ROVERS U14The under 14’s lost to Lagan Harps on Saturday on a 2-1 scoreline. Kaine McGlynn scoring the Cappry goal.A very important game coming up next weekend when they take on 2nd placed Raphoe Town in the league. A win for the Cappry boys would crown them champions. Kick off in Raphoe on Saturday 2.30pm. All support welcome.CAPPRY COLTS U12The colts had no match last weekend.The next fixture is home to Gweedore United this weekend either 25/26 April, texts will be sent out on Wednesday to clarify.DATE FOR THE CALENDERCappry Rovers Annual Joe Houston Memorial 5k: Friday 5th June 2015 7.30pm More details to follow.
