Pirates pitcher Chris Archer undergoes hernia surgery

PITTSBURGH — Pirates pitcher Chris Archer has undergone surgery to repair a hernia but should be ready in time for spring training.The team says Archer had surgery Tuesday after complaining of symptoms during a recent workout.
