Russell Simmons, a co-founder of Def Jam Recordings, has denied all the allegations. Three held after police officer shot to remain in custody updated

first_imgA police officer shot at ten days ago in Limassol was taken out of intensive care in Israel on Tuesday, the health ministry said.The officer, Giorgos Georgiou, 37, was airlifted to Israel the day of the shooting, which has seen four suspects being taken into custody.According to the ministry, there was an improvement in the officer’s condition, and they continue to remain in contact with the doctors treating him and the island’s embassy to offer any possible assistance necessary to his family.Earlier the Limassol district court issued an eight-day remand order for three suspects held by police in connection with the incident.The three, a 31-year-old Greek Cypriot, a Bulgarian, 35, and a Slovakian woman, 33, were arrested the day after the shooting.The man who allegedly shot the officer, Elias Mouzos, 38, was detained three days later.The three men are suspected of being in a car that was parked in Ypsonas on May 5, raising suspicions.The two officers who arrived in their patrol vehicle to check the car were met by a burst from an automatic allegedly fired by Mouzos.Despite being hit, Georgiou managed to empty his service pistol at the suspects, who fled the scene.The 31-year-old was found the next day on a bench injured while the Bulgarian was arrested after he was spotted walking to Paphos.
