Vijayawada: Floral tributes were paid to former MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga by his son Vangaveeti Radhakrishna and followers on his 72nd birth anniversary here on Thursday. Radhakrishna and others participated in puja to mark the occasion. He cut the cake. Addressing the gathering, Radhakrishna said that he would strive to fulfil the ambitions of Ranga by helping the poor and the needy. He clarified that Ranga was not in favour of any community as he was a people’s man and helped everyone who was in need. When asked about reports on his joining Jana Sena Party, Radhakrishna did not respond and was tight-lipped. JSP West constituency leader Potina Mahesh said that in the expansion of districts in Andhra Pradesh, one should be named after Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga.
